The Wednesday Club
This club for the Over 60's meets in the Village Hall every
first Wednesday of each month except January. The Club has
been running for over 50 years and has a membership of over
70. There is a Speaker or Entertainment at each
meeting.
Entrance £1. Annual subscription £8.
In addition to the usual lunches of Fish and Chips and Baked
Potato, there will be a Strawberry Tea in August. A Coffee
Morning is planned at the end of August in the Cricket Pavilion at
the Recreation Ground, a Fashion Show in October and the Christmas
Lunch will be held at our meeting in December at an outside
venue.
£400 was raised for 'Help 4 Heroes' with the Club's Stall at the
Village Fair in July 2011. It is planned to have a stall this
year at the Queen's Jubilee celebrations in June.
