Brockham Youth
Council
Brockham Youth Council is a voluntary group of young people
& parents with a simple plan; find out what young people want
to do in the village, find the funding & then organise it so
that as many young people as possible can take part. It is run by
volunteers & everyone is welcome. Meeting dates are posted on
the village website & on our Facebook group page.
Youth Cafe
If you are 11-18yrs, come & try out the Youth Cafe. Soft
drinks, crisps & sweets, pool table, music, darts & TV all
available.

Club
Every Wednesday,
5.00-7.00pm
Remember if you are aged 16-18yrs and would like a full
membership to the Village Club the Youth Council will pay for this
for you. This will allow you to use the club whenever it is
open.
Skate Project
With less reliable weather, the skate project moves our monthly
sessions back to Skaterham, a fantastic indoor facility in an
old chapel in Caterham. The dates are as follows:
Sunday 9 Oct, 3-5pm
Sunday 20 Nov 3-5pm
Sunday 11 Dec 3-5pm
Sunday 22 Jan 3-5pm
Sunday 26 Feb 3-5pm
Sunday 25 Mar 3-5pm
We can take 30 young people to Skaterham for each session and
transport is provided with a pick up from the Church Hall on the
green at 2pm. There is limited availability for taking BMXs, so
separate transport may need to arranged for those who want to
BMX.
Everyone going to Skaterham will need to have completed the
Skaterham membership form and consents forms, as well as the Youth
Council's consent form. These will be emailed to those who have
confirmed places before each date.
Bushcraft Courses
Our next project will be to run a series of bushcraft/survival
courses for young people. We hope to run three of these and will
have places for 30 young people in total. If you are interested in
taking part in one of these

A waiting list will be drawn up of all those interested and
priority will be given to those living in Brockham, followed by
Betchworth, Leigh & Buckland. Young people from outside of
these areas may also go on the waiting list but will be asked to
make a donation towards costs.
