At the Village Hall yesterday evening many residents of the
village met and invested their time, money and irrevocable
support to the purchase of the land in Middle Street.
The land purchase has been the genesis of ELP, Brockham, a campaign
which is now incorporated as a company limited by shares (Middle
Street Land Limited).
It was a truly fantastic response from the residents present;
however it is clear that the target level of investment necessary
is still some way off.
Many residents invested in shares or made campaign
donations. Some residents also offered to purchase
additional shares "if need be". Unfortunately we may need to
accept those generous offers unless further investment can be
generated through other willing and able residents (we
appreciate that not every household that received a flyer was able
to attend).
At present we are following up on pledges made last week and
continuing to drive the investment push forward.
