News From Brockham Youth Council

Brockham Youth Council

Brockham Youth Council is a voluntary group of young people & parents with a simple plan; find out what young people want to do in the village, find the funding & then organise it so that as many young people as possible can take part. It is run by volunteers & everyone is welcome. Meeting dates are posted our website www.brockhamyouthcouncil.btck.co.uk & on our Facebook group page.

 Youth Cafe

Brockham Village Hall Club

Every Wednesday, 5.00-7.00pm

The youth cafe has a range of indoor games including table tennis, air hockey, quoits and a range of board games, as well as the bar's usual pool, darts, pinball and music.

Table Tennis Club

North Downs School Hall

Every Monday (Term Time only), 7.00-8.30pm

The table tennis club has now started next coaching session, Block 2. We are currently taking bookings for Blocks 3 & 4 starting in September. See our website for dates and booking forms.

Remember, the school hall and our equipment are available for hire. Please get in contact if you have an enquiry about this.

Art Project

We have received three grants towards our art project and plan to start in Sept/Oct. Our thanks to the Poland Trust, Betchworth United Charities and Brockham Parish Council.

Please get in contact for more information and to book a place.

Lifesaving Course

In partnership with Dorking Sports Centre we can offer lifesaving training for 10-12 young people. It will only cost £6 for a six week course that will entitle you to a Community Lifesaving certificate. As well as giving you a very useful skill, the course is planned to link to our swimming project which we are working on with North Downs School.

If you are over 15yrs and would like to learn life saving get in contact for more information and to book a place. This may be useful for those of you doing your DofE next year.
