The lane that runs to the left of the cottage has been known by many names over the years. Home Lane, after the home for young girls, the large building on the left of the picture. Swan's Ally, Sucliff's Ally and probably many more, these getting the names from the people who lived in the cottage over the years. Following this lane takes you through beautiful countryside, at one point overlooking the River Mole and Box Hill. The path carries on and will eventually bring you to Betchworth. From here go through the Church yard and the walk will continue on to the village green at Brockham.
